Paint Protection Film
Firepower Detailing offers a paint protection film wrap —also known as PPF, PPF Film, or Clear Bra —to keep your vehicles’s finish protected. This nearly invisible urethane layer acts as a shield against road debris, rock chips, bug splatter, and minor abrasions, preserving your paint and value for years to come.
Whether you're interested in a high-gloss finish or a stealthy matte PPF, our expert team provides professional PPF installation tailored to your vehicle’s needs. If you're searching for a trusted PPF installer near me, our paint protection film shop offers both full and partial wraps using industry leading films from SunTek and STEK. We take pride in high quality installations and we guarantee all of our work.
Wondering about PPF cost? It varies based on coverage area and film type, but we're happy to walk you through the options so you get maximum value. In cases where PPF does its job and becomes damaged in the process of protecting your vehicle, a poor quality installation from another shop, a style change, and a few other reasons where existing PPF needs to be removed, we use the proper tools, techniques, and care to complete the safesrt and most efficient and complete paint protection film removal possible.
Protect your investment with a solution that blends performance and aesthetics—done right the first time.
Precision-Cut Film for a Perfect Fit
We take installation seriously. Our team uses a computerized plotter system to pre-cut every PPF kit specifically for your make and model. This precision-cut PPF method means little to no cutting is done on your vehicle’s paint, reducing the risk of damage and delivering a factory-quality finish with clean edges and maximum coverage.
RV Paint Protection Film
We don’t just stop at paint protection film for cars, trucks, and SUV’s. We offer custom PPF installations on other things like motorcycles and RV’s. RV’s take a beating while they’re going down the road. A large surface area has the tendency to collect a lot of bugs and rocks, leading to the possibility of chips and etching to the paint. Paint Protection Film on an RV stops those hazards in their tracks and protects your expensive finish.

Clear Bra (PPF) vs. Vinyl Wrap: What’s the Difference?
Not sure whether you need PPF or vinyl wrap? Here’s a quick comparison:
PPF (Clear Bra): Best for paint protection, impact resistance, and maintaining factory paint. Ideal for high-impact areas like the front bumper, hood, fenders, mirrors, and more. PPF is a long-term solution to preserve your vehicle’s value. Whether gloss or matte, we have a PPF that is designed to work with your finish. All of our film comes from reputable companies with a 10 year or longer warranty.
Vinyl Wrap: Primarily used for custom styling and color changes. Vinyl offers limited protection and is more prone to wear. If your goal is to change appearance temporarily or brand your vehicle, vinyl might be right. For serious protection, paint protection film is the superior choice.
Fashion Film: Want to preserve your factory paint but also add a bit of style? Fashion films are colored or patterned PPF. They offer the same benefits as traditional clear PPF but with the option to change the look. Many people are also opting for a full matte PPF conversion to change their gloss finish to a matte finish.
PPF Options: Gloss, Matte, and Fashion Films
We don’t just protect your vehicle — we help you customize it, too. Our premium film options include:
Gloss PPF – Crystal-clear protection that enhances factory paint.
Matte PPF – Satin finish for a stealthy, modern look.
Matte conversions – Turn any glossy paint job into a matte finish.
Fashion and color PPF – Available in carbon fiber, patterned, tinted, and colored films to add unique style and personality while maintaining protection.

What is a ceramic coating?
Ceramic coatings are a popular aftermarket protection for vehicles, motorcycles, RV’s, ATV’s, boats, airplanes, and more. Ceramic coatings chemically bond to your paint to provide a protection that lasts for many years. Ceramic coatings enhance gloss, repel water, and have superior chemical and scratch resistance compared to your vehicle’s factory finish. These protections and ease of maintenance are what people love about ceramic coatings.
-
One of the steps to install a coating is paint correction. This removes or improves many of the imperfections in your vehicle’s finish such as staining, etching, water spots, swirls, marring, oxidation, and minor scratches and scuffs. Over time, these imperfections cause your paint to appear dull and worn. Paint correction brings out a depth and shine that your vehicle usually doesn’t even have when it’s delivered to the dealership. Ceramic coatings lock in this depth and shine and enhance it even further with the compounds and metals in the coating. Ceramic coatings are harder than your factory finish and resist these aging factors from returning.
-
Probably the most well known and easiest feature to see is ceramic coatings’ ability to repel water. There is a lot of science behind how and why coatings repel water so well and for how long and just because a product has the word ceramic in it does not mean it has the same benefits as a ceramic coating. Their ability to repel water also means other things have a harder time sticking to them. Coatings will repel dirt, dust, mud, bugs, bird droppings, and more much better than a vehicle that is not coated can. This leads to easier washing, easier drying, and less chance of damaging your finish from cross contamination.
-
Although no product is bulletproof, ceramic coatings are the leader in protective finishes for your vehicle. Ceramics coatings include other metals such as titanium oxide and sometimes graphene to create a hard outer shell that is chemically bonded to the top of your paint. These hard shells are more resistant to swirls and light scratches from normal washing, more resistant to chemical etching from things like bugs, bird droppings, and tree sap, and provide resistance to UV rays to prevent oxidation.
FAQs
-
It depends. Ceramic coatings do tend to have a higher upfront cost but for many people the benefits outweigh this initial investment. For those who want to protect a new vehicle, bring life back into an older one, or generally take pride in something as expensive as a vehicle, they can be a great choice for protection. Many times, our services are also eligible for Afterpay to allow you to make smaller payments over time to ease some of the stress of a higher end service.
-
Ceramic coatings are great products. When properly installed, properly cured, and properly maintained, they work fantastic! They make maintaining your vehicle quicker, easier, and more enjoyable, but in order to enjoy them to their full potential, they do need to be cared for properly. Your detailer will walk you through proper care of your coated vehicle and provide you with materials to reference.
-
When referring to actual ceramic coatings, not just ceramic infused products, there are 2 main categories; consumer grade and professional grade. Professional grade coatings are not available to consumers because of the difficulty to install them without proper training and experience. This difficulty comes from higher concentration of “solids” (the active ingredients in coatings) which allows for a more robust coating.
Beyond being professional grade, a large majority of the decision comes down to the installer and support. You should choose an installer that you trust. Look for reviews, have conversations, check for references, and see how long a shop has been in business. Many detail shops do not last more than a couple years so you have no one to go back to if you have trouble. Established shops that have been around usually have access to higher end products from companies who will back their warranty nationwide. Choose to support and installer who is confident, competent, and customer focused.
-
Generally, no. Many dealerships will try to sell you a coating, ceramic or otherwise, with a paint warranty. Most of the time there is very minimal protection, if any, applied quickly by someone who has little to no training in the products, banking on you never returning for a warranty claim and oftentimes denying it if you do. The dealer inflates the cost for this service by many thousands of dollars to maximize their profits, capitalizing on the market for ceramic coatings with little care for the customer. Most professional ceramic coating brands will not sell their products to dealerships because of these practices.
A professional shop that specializes in ceramic coating installs has the proper training, experience, certification, equipment, environment, procedures, and standards to ensure a far superior product and a true warranty from a real manufacturer. This is why the process takes shops multiple days, oftentimes 20-40 man hours or longer. If you need to protect a new vehicle, don’t allow the dealer to add it. Save your money and spend it at a professional shop for a superior experience.
-
Yes and no. Ceramic coatings are much harder, therefore much more resistant to scratches and swirls than a regular automotive finish. That being said, they are not scratch proof. They will resist normal swirls and marring from proper washing procedures but can be scratched themselves if abused or impacted. One of the most common causes of scratches to a coated vehicle is the use of automatic carwashes. The soaps and brushes in automatic washes are extremely aggressive and will accumulate dirt, bugs, rocks, tar, chemicals, and a multitude of other contaminants from vehicles all day and then grind them into your finish. This is why your warranty is voided if you go through an automatic carwash.
-
No. Ceramic coatings are resistant to many things but rock chips are caused by impact. A ceramic coating does not offer any additional impact protection to your vehicle. Mechanical abrasions like impacts and scrapes can cause damage through your coating and to the finish underneath.
-
The cons of coatings depend on the end user. Coatings do require maintenance such as regular washing with proper washing methods. Coatings should be washed regularly by hand with ph neutral soap, proper washing methods, and dried without allowing water to dry on the surface which can cause spotting. Coatings still need to have things like bird droppings, tree sap, excessive bugs, or chemicals like fuel cleaned up quickly to avoid damage. Automatic carwashes, even touchless, can void your warranty. These washes use harsh chemicals and often dirty brushes which can harm or scratch your coating. Coatings do not stop things like scratches from driving too close to bushes or trees, rock chips, or dents. A coating does require periodic maintenance and inspections by your installer to keep the warranty intact. Almost all of these things are true for the proper care of a vehicle’s factory paint as well, however, it is generally made simpler with a coating. Some people may view these limitations as cons.
