Depending on the specific coating and the level of correction, our Fireball ceramic coatings usually have a 2-3 day turnaround time.  A multi-step correction or multiple coatings add time to the process.  

Yes, ceramic coating can be worth it on a new car as it provides long-lasting protection against environmental damage and keeps the car looking like new for longer. It can also help to maintain the resale value of the car.  Since a large portion of the cost of a coating is in the preparation and paint correction, the sooner you get a vehicle coated the better.  They have already been exposed to things that have likely introduced swirls and micro marring.  When addressed early, these are quickly and easily removed with paint correction.  The less wear there is to remove, the more cost effective the overall process will be.

When washing a car with a ceramic coat, a hand wash with proper washing methods is crucial to extending your coatings life.  It is important to use a pH-neutral car wash soap and avoid using abrasive materials like brushes or sponges. A microfiber towel or mitt is recommended for washing. Additionally, avoid washing the car in direct sunlight and rinse thoroughly to prevent water spots.  Your detailer will go over maintenance schedules with you and provide you information on how and when to maintain your specific coating.

Your detailer will go over with you your specific product and any instructions specific to that coating.  In general, just washing your vehicle as needed is the best maintenance.  Coatings perform best when they are clean. Different coatings have different periodic maintenance requirements.  Similar to rotating your tires, this maintenance will extend the life and performance from your coating so you continue to enjoy the protection you paid for.  

Yes, ceramic coating can be removed, but the process can be difficult, time-consuming, and expensive. It often requires the use of a specialized polish or compound, pads, machines, and occasionally even sanding to remove the coating, followed by a thorough cleaning and reapplication of a new coating.

They can.  Ceramic coatings are very durable but are not bulletproof.  Automatic car washes are notorious for using very strong chemicals and the brushes are known to collect dirt and grime from other vehicles and those will transfer to your paint and can scratch and swirl your paint while eating away at your coating.  Occasionally, they can cause even more serious damage.  Your ceramic coating warranty may be voided if you take your vehicle through an automatic carwash.  You should always hand wash a coated vehicle with proper washing methods.  We offer maintenance washes that include and interior and exterior cleaning to our existing clients for an affordable alternative to a full detail package.
